Ken Garon, CFP®, EA
Founder, Garon Financial
Ken Garon brings over two decades of experience in financial services and tax preparation, offering clients a specialized blend of strategic planning and practical tax expertise. As a CFP® professional and an Enrolled Agent with the IRS, Ken helps individuals and families navigate complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence.
Ken began his career in 2001 and has held positions across the financial landscape—including roles at John Hancock’s Global Annuities Division, H&R Block as a tax associate, and Jackson’s Retirement and Wealth Strategies Group. At Jackson, he traveled nationwide advising top financial professionals on the impact of evolving tax and estate laws.
In 2016, Ken joined Garon Financial, the independent firm his father, Gerald Garon, founded nearly 30 years ago. Today, Ken leads the firm with a client-first philosophy rooted in deep technical knowledge and personalized care. His dual expertise in tax and financial planning gives clients a meaningful edge when making important decisions.
“A good advisor needs to understand your tax picture—because no two financial situations are the same,” Ken says. “The difference between a good advisor and a great one is their knowledge of the tax code and how it applies to your exact situation. It's not just about what you make — it's about what you keep.”
Ken earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Plymouth State College in 2000 and completed his CFP® education through Boston University in 2009. With more than 20 years of experience, he advises clients across a wide range of financial stages and needs, always with empathy, insight, and commitment.
Outside the office, Ken is a lifelong weather enthusiast with a passion for meteorology. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children.
